Was ist Nabumetone?

Nabumetone ist ein Naphthylalkanon und nichtsteroidales entzündungshemmendes Medikament (NSAID) mit entzündungshemmenden, antipyretischen und analgetischen Aktivitäten. Nabumetone ist ein Prodrug, das auf hepatische Katalyse umwandelt in die aktive Einheit 6-methoxy-2-Naphthylessigsäure (6MNA). 6MNA hemmt die Aktivität der Enzyme Cyclooxygenase I und II, zu einer verringerten Bildung von Vorläufern von Prostaglandinen und Thromboxanen führt. Der daraus resultierende Rückgang der Prostaglandin-Synthese ist für die therapeutischen Effekte von Nabumeton verantwortlich. Die Bildung von Thromboxan A2 durch Thromboxan-Synthase, wird ebenfalls verringert, und führt zu einer Hemmung der Thrombozytenaggregation.

Nabumetone Uses
